Jason Watson “Q”
I met Jason Watson while he was an 11 month Artist-In-Residence at McColl Center for Art + Innovation. I was approached by Joel Smeltzer from the Mint Museum to create a video that followed Jason over the creation of one of his incredible drawings. The videos target audience is middle to high school students meant to educate them on an artists practice. We decided to split it up into pre-process, process and finally a reveal of the final piece. Jason does a wonderful job of breaking down his complex process in this film. The final piece, “Q” is currently hanging in the Mint Museum and along side is this video. Check it out!
