I met Mel Chin 4 months ago at McColl Center for Visual Art. I was immediately struck by how approachable he was, the scope of his projects and the power and simplicity of his art. Being a fan of McColl and their commitment to the community I gravitated instantly to the Fundred Dollar Bill Project. And when I saw him personally deliver the fundred rap to a room full of Charlotteans I was hooked. After several meetings and ideas for how to help advance the project I brought it to Scott Lazes and he helped by writing a script and directing these amazing kids from J.M. Robinson Middle Schools of CMS. A big shout out and thank you to Mark Buzzee and Stacey Boone for coordinating the entire shoot!
