Mario Botta: Architecture and Memory
The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art is located here in Uptown Charlotte and the architecture has always been an inspiration. I can remember the first time I saw it was on a tour with John Boyer. John led the most informative tour with the history of the Bechtlers, a brief introduction of the architect Mario Botta and a tour of the amazing building. It was an incredible tour, the Sol Lewitt Mural had just been completed and the building was truly magnificent. Little did I know that 3 years later I would have the privilege of interviewing Mr. Botta himself! The exhibition Mario Botta: Architecture and Memory is an amazing look into one of the most accomplished, original architects in history. Enjoy!
