Remember the game Mouse Trap? I used to love it! I enjoyed setting a series of events in motion from a simple start. Joseph Herscher was an artist-in-residence at McColl Center for Visual Art this fall. His story is an interesting one and of the many successes that YouTube fame can bring. He is a huge fan of Rube Goldberg and his amazingly complex machines. You see Joseph also makes complex machines that do simple tasks but at McColl he changed it up a little. His residency was dedicated to completing a new machine/performance art piece called the dresser that will soon be on a world tour. It’s a fun, fascinating idea and machine, check out the work we did highlighting the dresser and Joseph’s residency.

And here is one of the most popular youtube Rube Goldberg Machine videos from OK Go!
